Three Classical Studies Majors to Enter Graduate Programs This Fall
Rachel Chinchilla, class of 2023, has won a scholarship to the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program at Loyola University Chicago where she will spend the year studying Latin. She is deciding whether to become a high school Latin teacher or to pursue a graduate degree.
Wiley Warren-Boulton (’23) and Daniela Wojas (’21) are both off to Oxford University in England this Fall.
Wylie is enrolling in Oxford’s MSt in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature. After that, she intends to pursue a PhD in Latin philology.
After graduating from UIC, Daniela participated in a summer field school, excavating Roman ruins at Salona in Croatia, and decided that she wants to specialize in field archaeology. At Oxford, she is pursuing an MPhil in Classical Archaeology.
Good luck to all three! We expect great things of you!
