The Arabic Program Hosts Arabic Poetry Day at the Arab American Cultural Center!
The Arabic program was excited to host Arabic Poetry Day at the new Arab American Cultural Center in BSB!
Students read classical and modern Arabic poems in celebration of centuries of beautiful poetry, stories, and rich literary history. Translations in English were presented on a screen.
The Arabic program and its faculty regularly champion the celebration of poetry and language at UIC, having recently organized a multilingual poetry reading at the School In/Between conference, with over 22 languages represented!
