UIC's Department of Classics was well-represented at the recent Illinois Classical Conference! Dr. Krishni Burns, Senior Lecturer of Latin, presented Iarbas Furens: Decoding Multicultural Insults in Aeneid 4.206-18. Classics student Ava Angele presented What Has the Illinois Classical Conference Meant to Its Members? The Latest Report on the ICC Oral History Research Project. Angele was presenting on her work as the primary field researcher for the ICC Oral History Archive, for which she has received two CURA awards.
