Download iCal FileThe Music Box Theatre presents Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, featuring a post-screening panel with Dr. Young Richard Kim (Associate Professor & Department Head, Classics and Mediterranean Studies University of Illinois Chicago), Dr. Krishni Burns (Senior Lecturer of Latin Classics and Mediterranean Studies), and Dr. German Campos-Munoz (Associate Professor of Instruction of Classics, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Northwestern University)
In 2026, The NHM is celebrating A Year with the Odyssey, honoring Homer’s timeless epic through a series of dynamic public programs and exhibitions. Highlights include the Trial of Odysseus at the Harris Theater this past March, where the hero stood before a live court to answer for his actions; NHM’s newest exhibit The Odyssey Reimagined- where artists will reinterpret Odysseus’ arduous journey home; and Homerathon, an annual communal reading of the poem in partnership with the University of Illinois Chicago.
The National Hellenic Museum is proud to co-present this special screening, continuing its mission to bring ancient stories to life through storytelling and shared cultural experiences.
